10 Questions With Your Downtown Realtor

With Brett Fine, our site real estate expert, and “Your Downtown Realtor.”

Brett Fine

1. What made you decide to move your office downtown?

I have always loved downtown and I will be moving there shortly. Also, there is not currently an office downtown. I think that people who are thinking of moving there don’t really know where to begin. So, we wanted to be the starting point and provide that service. Plus, its so much fun being around so many people everyday.

2. When is your office opening?

Our office is open right now.  But we will have a grand opening in the next month. It is going to be really cool.  We are going to be installing a internet cafe for people to check their email who can’t at work, so that we can begin to get to know some of the downtown workers.

3. When will it be open for people to stop in?

We are going to be open from 10-3 daily and will eventually be open on Saturdays, so that people who aren’t downtown during the week can stop in.

4. You’re a buyer’s agent, what does that mean?

That means that I am able to show you all the projects downtown, not just one particular building. I can also help you sell your current home, loft or condo, if need be to move to a new place.

5. What are you most excited about downtown?

Where do I start, I love the buzz that is going on right now. You can feel the energy when you are down here. I love the way Court Avenue has changed so much. Court Center has been a great addition and is a big part of the change. Everyday it seems like there is a new announcement or project.

6. What have your clients indicated to you was the best part of living downtown?

They love the way Des Moines is getting that big city feel without truly being a big city, and without having all the inconveniences of a big city downtown, like transportation. Being within walking distance of the Farmers Market, Court Avenue, Wells Arena, I-Cubs, Nightfall on the River. There are so many things that I hear and the list keeps getting bigger.

7. Are your services really free?

Yes, when I represent you as a buyer, there are no fees that you will incur. Also, it is always good as a buyer, to have somebody represent you and your best interest to the seller.

8. How can I contact you?

The best way is by cell phone 515-314-8673 or my email BrettFine@remax.net.

9. Is there anyway someone can schmooze you?

Yes, gifts, watches, trips……kidding honestly I love what I do and I love helping people.

10. I’m thinking about moving downtown, when should I contact you?

As soon as possible, that way you will more prepared when you finally decide to move.
