I got the chance this week to meet with BJ Knapp and see the Equitable Condos.  In a word, wow.

The Equitable Building is a really great building from a visual standpoint.  It’s right in the middle of the downtown skyline, so the views from the building are quite unique.

I have received so many winter wonderland pictures that I just cannot post them all. (this is a website about living downtown, not pictures of snow and ice afterall!)
Here’s a few more, these really stood out among the crowd.

 
Saturday was the Central Iowa walk to cure juvenile diabetes.  This is a great cause, and the Des Moines walk is always one of the best in the nation.
As you can see there was again a great turn out, despite the horrible weather we had on Thursday and Friday.

I want to address the most common response I hear about moving downtown.  I’ve heard this from nearly every person that I’ve spoken with—that doesn’t live downtown.
It’s expensive!
