5 More Questions With The Gateway Lofts
Want to know more about the Gateway Lofts? You should, no property is moving faster downtown right now. They are doing an excellent job, and are moving units very, very well. If you haven’t yet seen Gateway Lofts, or if you want more information, this is a can’t miss article for you!
If you missed part one, here’s your link. Now, here’s part two from my interview with Trina Braafhart, the property manager at Gateway Lofts.
How fast are the Gateway Lofts filling up?
Considering we have only been open for 6 weeks and have leased 16 units….very fast. Without a doubt, the Gateway Lofts have been well received by all who visit! Based on my many years of property management experience in Des Moines, that is very fast.
What does Gateway Lofts bring to the market that is so unique?
The Gateway Lofts is the one property that is truly an urban loft by design. It seems like the term “loft” is very trendy now – everyone wants to live in a loft, therefore there are so many properties calling themselves “lofts”. The Gateway Lofts are exactly that 100%.
Are people surprised with how nice each loft is? [note: Gateway Lofts were my wife's favorite]
Honestly, I was surprised the first time I toured the interiors. I was surprised at how great the views are, how awesome the natural lighting is, how cool and open the layouts are and how completely high end all the finishes are. Can you tell I have a passion for this place?
What should people know about Gateway Lofts that they might not already know?
Our interior courtyard is very beautiful and we have two awesome fountains. The fountains are made of red glass tile and were designed to create a “blanket of water” sensation. If you sit in our courtyard you will be surprised at how peaceful and zen like it is. Also I want to talk about the Western Gateway neighborhood. Of all the downtown neighborhoods, this one to me is the most “green”. We are at the western end of downtown, where the Meredith gardens are so well manicured and the green space all around the new public library and the Papajohn learning center is just breathtaking. I have come to have a high regard and respect for this new neighborhood. It is peaceful and quiet, but still walking distance from downtown and all the fantastic events going on all the time. There are also really great coffee shops and deli’s in our neighborhood. Ritual Café is one of my favorite local coffee shops, Beggar’s Banquet is a great place to go for a vegetarian sandwich and the Gateway Market is absolutely wonderful with a superior wine selection.
Also another very important subject that is near and dear to my heart – is that the Gateway Lofts were built in a very Green Eco Friendly design. A range of environmental factors were considered in the design and construction – from the energy efficiency to recycling. Building materials were selected for both their durability and recycled material content – such as concrete, and eco- friendly cleaning products have been used throughout the construction. To maximize energy efficiency, the lofts include high efficiency lighting, high efficiency cooling and heating systems, and one-foot thick insulated concreted exterior walls. Resident will find it easy to participate in recycling programs using the convenient recycling collection bins located in the warm AND dry parking garage.
So not only is the Gateway Lofts a very cool, hip, trendy, eclectic place to live – but a place that you can be PROUD to call your home!
