5 Questions About The Gateway Lofts

I recently had a chance to interview Trina Braafhart, the new property manager at Gateway Lofts. I tried to ask her as many questions as I could think of about the property.
I’ve found that Gateway Lofts are one of the properties that many people don’t know all that much about.

So here it is, the first part of several with 5 questions about the Gateway Lofts. If you’d like to see more, or learn more be sure to contact Trina via email, or you can call her at 515-280-1962. Also, be sure to check out this cool video tour of Gateway Lofts.
1. What is the absolute best thing about Gateway Lofts?
Number one hands down is the architecture and design. This is absolutely by far the most unusual property in design I have ever managed. There is NOTHING suburban/ boring/ taupe/ cookie cutter/ box about these lofts. They have 12 to 20 foot ceilings – polished concrete floors, stained concrete counter tops, floor to ceiling windows, exposed duct work and pipes, Brazilian slate tile surrounds in tub and shower, full size washer and dryer in each unit, contemporary stainless steel appliances, unique floor plans – yes I can go on. Each unit has a very interesting and different personality. But I do not want to leave out climate control indoor parking! It’s one thing to have a dry car during the cold winter months….but a WARM car, yah buddy, now we are talking!
2. What sets Gateway Lofts apart from the rest?
The Gateway Lofts were built in a very Green Eco Friendly design. A range of environmental factors were considered in the design and construction – from the energy efficiency to recycling. Building materials were selected for both their durability and recycled material content – such as concrete, and eco- friendly cleaning products have been used throughout the construction. To maximize energy efficiency, the lofts include high efficiency lighting, high efficiency cooling and heating systems, and one-foot thick insulated concreted exterior walls. Resident will find it easy to participate in recycling programs using the convenient recycling collection bins located in the warm AND dry parking garage.
So not only is the Gateway Lofts a very cool, hip, trendy, eclectic place to live – but a place that you can be PROUD to call your home!
3. What are the noise levels like at Gateway Lofts?
That is one amazing factor about our lofts. I have stood inside the corner loft on 17th and Grand during rush hour traffic and it is amazingly quiet! As for the neighbors – you will hear noise that is typical for any apartment community, but all of your neighbors are adult professionals. The Gateway Lofts screens each resident prior to their moving in. Plus with the rent levels where they are, you know this is not a college dorm!
4. Do residents have any perks that we don’t know about yet?
They have me for a property manager! I am very friendly, down to earth and caring. I will sign for their packages, let the movers into their apartment if they can’t be here, same with the utility companies, I will take care of their maintenance requests as quickly as possible and follow up with them to let them it is taken care of. I make sure everyone who moves in is provided with a wonderful house warming gift from the Gateway Market, I will keep an eye on their apartment if they are away on vacation and my favorite part – I love to have lots of resident socials!
[note: it is the opinion of this blog that Trina is hands down the best property manager downtown. I'm sure the residents at Gateway Lofts and The Kirkwood would agree!]
5. Is there anything about Gateway Lofts that you feel could be improved?
If I could improve anything it would be to plant more pots of flowers and increase the landscaping to include more color. And a free kitten for every new resident – or puppy.
Be sure to keep an eye out, we’ll have a few more interviews with Trina, as well as a feature about the units at Gateway Lofts. If you’re interested in more information, be sure to get in touch with Trina and schedule a viewing.
