This site was started out of a black hole of no information about downtown Des Moines. In searching for my move, I quickly learned that there was nothing online to be found to help me with my search.

I started this site to be your guinea pig, and so that you could see what living downtown was all about. I soon realized that I didn’t matter, and what mattered was downtown Des Moines. My experience would be neat for some, and others would have nothing in common. The social fabric of downtown is far to diverse to only get the opinion and experience of one guy.

So today this site features many writers, many opinions and many experiences that are all centered in on downtown Des Moines.
