The annual State Fair kick-off parade is set Wednesday, August 6 at 6:15 p.m. in downtown Des Moines. After over 100 years in business, King Ying Low, which is located at 223 4th St in downtown Des Moines, has decided to close the restaurant.
We have not heard of the reason for closing.

We tried to eat at KC BBQ on Friday July 18, but when we arrived there was a sign posted on the door that they would be closed until July 21 due to a small fire.

Here is a great video about how to improve our dam signs downtown.
I can’t help but wonder, what kind of idiot takes a walmart style blow up raft down the river. The only thing missing in this video is the rafters standing in water waist deep holding an umbrella to give the interview.
