Who was able to make it to the BDG? What is the feedback? Was this a genuine effort to bring all the big dreamers together to connect and network in one big room OR something else? Something with ulterior motives? Am I being cynical? Who was taught there is no such thing as a “free lunch” besides me? BUT - if this was a great and honest turn out - then WELL DONE to the BDG team.
I went last night and it was amazing. There was nothing being sold!
Although several mlm/network marketing people came and on people who wrote things like “i want to make more money” “i want to start my own business” the mlm people posted all there spam. Also on the dream board they posted stuff like “Need 50 partners who want to be millionaires.” lol
Overall, the event was 95% awsome. I would go back everytime. They make it so you can put your dream out in front of everyone and you get a number so no one knows who you are. Unless you want to tell them.
I would say its a great place to start working on your dreams!
I didn’t know what to expect when I went, but I was extremely pleased. After getting my number (for anonimity), I was ushered to the room of lies. What lies have I been told that would keep me from my dreams? That I’m not good enough, not smart enough, won’t ever have enough money? After contemplating for a few moments, I wrote the lies on a piece of paper. I was instructed to wad up the paper and throw it away, and those lies would not be in control anymore. It went into the trash with hundreds of other lies. Cool.
The next room was the encouragement room. On the wall were opening statements like, “if money were no object, I would…”, or “if time was not a problem, I could…”. I was given some paper to write on that had a place for my dream, what I already have done towards that dream, and what I still need for the dream. I wrote 2.
The following room was as big as a gym. There were many people there of all different walks of life, ages, and situations. Everyone put their dreams on the walls in categories. Then we all mingled, reading other’s dreams and occasionally writing comments on their paper.
It was fantastic. I didn’t realize how REAL my dreams became once they were being seen by others. And I loved seeing that others were writing on my sheets, giving me encouragement to follow my dreams.
The only tiny thing I could come up with that was negative were the MLM’s commenting and leaving their websites on many dreams. However, I can understand why they would do that and it wasn’t bad enough for me to not go again.
I will go again if they repeat this! And I will tell my friends, too!
