Brenton Plaza
by Jo Hill

Has anyone besides me wondered what is in inside of those funky blue buildings at the ice rink? I have walked past a number times, but never stopped as I am not an ice skater. I liked to watch them skate, and knew people could get snacks because I’ve seen people eating.

It was something new for me to spot an open for lunch sign as I went walking today. Open for lunch? And music playing? Where? So I had to check it out. I found The
Brenton Plaza Grill, and they are open from 11:00 - 2:00 Monday -Friday. Sorry, I
got there after 2:00 o’clock when they were cleaning up and didn’t ask a lot of questions and didn’t get anything to eat.

I had heard there were activities there, but just haven’t been by at the right time until today. May have to go by Saturday July 28 to see the First annual Antique and Collectibles Day. It will be going on from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm. Good chance to go to the Farmer’s Market and then check out a few collectibles.
Check out some of the other attractions—Skating, Karaoke, Dancing, Ice Cream Socials. I must not be looking out my window enough if I’ve missed all this right in front of my window.
There is also a outside concert of Richie Lee and the Fabulous 50’s in August 26 with no cover charge.

Guess, I may have to walk past more often. How about you?

Just a bit of a different perspective on the Brenton Ice Plaza building…….I love the blue against the sky on a sunny day! Hope this pic shows up.
