I am not an early riser, but soon after I woke I heard drums and harmonica music as
well as voices drifting up to my apartment.  Living downtown is great, but sometimes sleeping in is hard, because racers need something special to run to or so it seems.

Nollen Plaza seems to be the spot downtown to met.  Even if you aren’t in agreement or part of the event it is fun to see what is going on there, such as  Bull dog beauty contests, drum corp sessions, and races.  Also a good place for lunches at noon.

Way back when the weather was nice a great annual event was held at Nollen Plaza.  And in honor of the Drake Relays I have held off until today to post these great pictures!
