Coming To Downtown Des Moines This Fall
Have you been paying any attention to all the fun things coming downtown this fall? Now that the Wells Fargo Arena is up and running well, we’re seeing a lot of great entertainment coming to Des Moines.
Remember not that long ago when anything worth going to only came to Ames? Nice to know those days are behind us!
Here’s a brief rundown of coming attractions this fall to the Wells Fargo Arena and Vets Auditorium. By the way, last weekend included a huge women’s expo, as well as the Bill Gaither Homecoming (big event for those in the know).
SEPTEMBER
- Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus
OCTOBER
- Iowa Stars first home game (12th)
- Tractor Pull and Hot Rod Show
- Scrapbooking Convention
- Andre Rieu (19th)
- Blue Man Group (20th)
- Rascal Flatts (26th)
NOVEMBER
- Arena Cross (2nd)
- Ozzy Osbourne (at the site of the bat incident, 2nd)
- John Mellencamp (9th)
- High School Musical on Ice
- Iowa Energy (first game on 26th)
- Festival of Trees and Lights
- Wedding Show and Bridal Salon
That’s just a few of the highlights, and I haven’t even covered the Civic Center. But I will showcase that before long as well.
