They said that it would be a 30 minute wait. We sat down by the bar and had some margaritas. We had to go the the bar to get them because the waitress was only interested in avoiding eveyone except her buddies at one table. About an hour later we asked the hostess and she clamed they paged us even though we had the pager directly in front of us the entire time. They sat us right by the hostess and gave us the menus. After about 20 minutes, no waiter/waitress, and about 15 glances from the hostess, we took off and had a great meal at Court Avenue Restaurant and Brewing Company. (Dos Rios did have good margaritas. Rather expensive though.

Yeah, this site is finished. It was decent while it lasted, but hasn't been worth a thing since the change in format followed by abandonment.

Gosh Josh, I used to enjoy this lively site but at this point, would encourage you to “give up the ghost.” The Downtown Neighborhood Association website has more current content than this so-called blog. Get it on or get it off if you would, please.

Hello Matt,

Yes it is still available and is listed at $165,000. It also features a tax abatement. You really need to get inside to appreciate. It really is a great Loft, especailly with all the custom work the current owner did and the view. The pull up parking makes it more desirable in my opinion and this is one of only 4 units that have that.

Is this loft still available? If so what are you currently asking for it?

Thanks,

I see. Kind of surprising that the loft was only intended for storage since --except for a sleeper sofa-- I can't imagine where you'd put a bed on the main level. I guess one advantage would be relatively lower condo fees. By the way, what are the condo fees per sq. ft. for this building?

Thanks for the tour offer, but I'm actually from out of state so it's not that easy for me to pop in and take a looksy. I was just toying with the idea of moving back to Iowa and wanted to see what options were available, but I'm in no hurry --especially in this market. If I do manage to make it to the Des Moines area, I would like to tour the city and see a few of the downtown condos. I like the modern loft look with lots of big windows, it's just that this unit is a bit smaller than what I would consider buying. Good luck with the sale.
