Court Avenue Lofts And Marketplace Lofts Impossible To Reach?

I’ve heard this same thing from many, many people. I decided to share it here and see if only the people contacting me are having trouble, or if the issue is more widespread.

Several people have contacted me about how impossible it is to get a return call, email, visit etc. from the property managers at Court Avenue Lofts and the upcoming Marketplace Lofts. I’ve been told of calling a half dozen times or more over a two week period and having 0 response. I’ve heard stories of unanswered emails, of signs posted “back in 5 minutes” when folks have dropped by to view the property–and then wait for 30 minutes and no return.

I know that Court Avenue Lofts have been very successful, but are they so successful that interested people no longer matter?

I had one person tell me that they had been looking for something to rent downtown and had contacted everyone in their price range. No problems reaching anyone, except Court Ave Lofts and Marketplace Lofts. They had several emails unreturned, more than a dozen phone calls over nearly a month unreturned, and they had tried to stop in several times as well–to get the same “back in 5 minutes” sign and no return each time. This person got fed up and went above the property manager and contacted Hubbell, who is developing the property. That actually worked, because they got a call back at 8AM the next morning.

Is anyone else having trouble reaching these two properties? Or is this just something I’ve heard a lot of because nobody contacts me to declare how easy it has been to work with them?

Call Hubbell directly. They will pass along the number of the property manager. That seems to work better.

I did actually talk to the property manager about MarketPlace lofts. I got on a waiting list for information. She doesn’t know much yet, but says she is learning more each day. I haven’t heard anything in almost a month. If you are interested, I’d get on the list for info and be ready to put in an app and deposit in a quick hurry.

Thanks for sharing Bethany,

Recap, if you want to get a hold of the property manager, call a different department and then they will connect you.
If you want the property manager, do not call them directly.

If that doesn’t sound like corporate America, I don’t know what does.

I wanted to show these to a client a couple weeks ago. I received a call back the same day from the listing agent. They were unable to provide us a tour that day, however, brought information/brochures to our skywalk office the very next day. I’m excited to view a model.

A “waiting list for information” is absurd. I have personally inquired about when these places will be available on three separate occasions and have yet to hear back. The lack of a response led me to believe that the units were all pre-leased. Maybe I’m wrong? Based on Tina’s comment, maybe they are only serious about dealing with agents. That’s too bad because I’m (no disrespect Tina) not about to hire somebody to find a place for me to rent.

You’re not alone in never hearing from them. From what I’ve heard you are receiving the typical treatment. Although I would tend to think that folks wanting information is a good thing, but maybe I’m wrong?

I would love to provide you any information you may need regarding these lofts or any others and just for the record….in addition to listing and selling real estate I also make it my business to also assist people in finding downtown rentals at no cost to them. :)

kgb1972 - how is your search coming along? Were you able to find something? Give me a call or shoot me an email anytime - I would love to help you out as much as possible. I have the skinny on many of the downtown properties (i think I may have managed most of them ;–)). Let me know if there is any thing I can do to help in your search. I know it’s tough coming in from out of town. I usually take photos for my prospects and email them the pics - I would be happy to do that for you as well. Good luck and I hope to hear from you!
