Downtown Des Moines Is Calling, Or Is It?
I’ve been in touch with several people lately who have made it a point to me that getting in touch with the folks selling, showing and leasing downtown is nearly impossible. Call up a property to get information, no answer or call back. Try to find property websites on google, impossible. (of course, that almost every time allows people to find this great site!)
I don’t understand it, but I want to help fix the problem. Just this week I received an email about trying to contact Vine Street Lofts, Court Avenue Lofts, Hubbell Tower, 10th Street Lofts, East Village Square and Park Place –all to no avail! This person has called each property 5+ times, visited each place in person hoping to catch someone there, emailed the property managers–and has yet to hear anything. So now this person has come to me for help. They want to move downtown, they know the date and everything. The only problem is that the people they need to speak to are too busy for their calls, emails, visits etc….
Are you having a similar problem? I can’t imagine that as often as I hear this type of thing that it’s limited in scope.
I want you to know that I’m here to fix the problem. If you’re having trouble reaching people for information about their properties contact me. I can refer you to the right people, and can help point you toward people that can (and actually will) help.
There are lots of people that want to help, I’m one of them. I’ll help you with any questions you may have, and if I can’t help you I can get you in touch with a person that can.
This website is the best source for information about living downtown. We don’t simply pass you to a link (and charge thousands of dollars to those selling units), and we don’t make this information hard to find. If you want to move downtown send me an email and I’ll help you anyway that I can.
Oh–the best of all, my help is free! I simply offer it because I want to help prop up downtown Des Moines, and help as many people as possible enjoy the great urban lifestyle that downtown Des Moines has to offer.

Finally, I heard back from two places, saying they don’t have any openings at this time, but may have on Sept 1. What I am hearing from the grapevine is that many of the rentals in the lower price ranges are full. That is a great problem to have. Still, is there a place for me?

Yeah, these property managers are either lazy, or so good they worked themselves out of a job.
I think lazy personally.
