The newest part of the River Walk is now almost finished. Looks like they still need to plant some more plants, but the walks, fountain, walls, are done.

From the Triangle you have a great view of downtown Des Moines. It will be wonderful this spring when it is all blooming but even in early November it is very colorful. They have left some fairly mature trees, and planted others, and nice new lights. I have been told for a long time that there was to be a basketball court in that spot.

But unless it’s a court for very, very tiny people, there is no room there for it.
