KCCI Reports Part 2

This week KCCI ran a two-part special on living downtown.  You can read my review of part one here.

Part two was a showcase of some of the buildings that you can live in.  They obviously don’t have time to show us everything, but they did pick out a decent variety.

The report showed us the Gateway Lofts, East Village Square, Soho Lofts, Court Avenue Lofts, Equitable Condos and Whiteline Lofts.  This was a great variety because you have everything from the top end of the market (Equitable) to income based rentals (some of the Court Ave Lofts.)

I have personally seen Soho Lofts, East Village Square, Gateway Lofts, Equitable Condos and Whiteline Lofts.  I haven’t yet written reviews about all of these projects, but they are on their way.  These are great projects, but it would have been great to get everything else in.  Mulberry Lofts, Brownstones on Grand and 418 Liberty for example.

This was an excellent piece done by KCCI, be sure to let Stacey Horst know how much you enjoyed her peice.

I’d also add that this report would have been better if they could have added a third part about the lifestyle downtown living has.  They did a great job showing us the vision to get us to where things are at today, and had some great shots and interviews with the places you can live–but none of that showcases what your life becomes when you live downtown.

This was a fantastic piece though, the best special report I’ve seen the local media cover in quite some time.
