I caught Keith Murphy on the news tonight talking about a potential deal that would bring a NBA Development League team to Des Moines.

If you don’t know the D-League is just like the minor leagues for baseball. This team would be to an NBA team what the I-Cubs are to the Chicago Cubs, and what the Iowa Stars are to the Dallas Stars.

Want more on the story you can get it here.

I guess there are people that actually think that playing in the Wells Fargo Arena instead of Vets Auditorium will make this franchise succeed, instead of failing just like the other two semi-pro basketball teams that already have here.

I just have one question. If nobody gives a rip about the actual NBA, why do people think that we’ll care about the minor league?

Let me know when we have an NFL team heading to Des Moines–then you’ll have a story……..

What do you think, would people actually pay to go see a D-League team in Des Moines? Make your voice heard!

I am just happy we are starting to have options. I wouldnt mind investing in that team,I want 50% ownership. That will probably set me back $500 bucks! lol
