If you haven’t picked up a copy of this week’s Juice, or you haven’t been to their site yet–do it!  This week they feature a bunch of new nightlife upgrades coming to downtown Des Moines.

I’m really excited about all the changes coming.  These places, and the ones that will follow should these be successful will just add to the downtown lifestyle.  Personally, I’m really excited about inPlay.  I lived in Atlanta for a year and they have a ‘little’ place called Dave and Buster’s that’s pretty much the same thing.  Went to D&B’s in Cleveland as well.  It’s really a fun place to hang out, and if you’re with the right people it can be an absolute blast.  Everything I’ve read tells me that inPlay will be as good or better–so I’m real excited about that.

I met with Jake Christensen last week, he’s with Nelson Development, and he told me inPlay will also have one of the larger rooms for things like wedding receptions that downtown has.  The room will overlook the river and have views of the downtown skyline as well.  Should be pretty neat!

Also, if the sushi place (Zen Noodle Bar) is good–I’ll see you there!
