Olive Street Condos
I previously did a quick write-up on the Olive Street Condos, which you can view here.
I went to elementary school right across the street from where Olive Street Condos are at Edmunds Academy of Fine Arts. When I was in Jr. High I played on a church basketball team, The Oriental Magic, and we played games every Saturday at The Wilkie House. I’m pretty familiar with the area that Olive Street Condos are in, I spent years right there.

The condos are excellent. The finish is fantastic, and the designer they chose has done an excellent job. These condos are larger than many, and because they’re in Sherman Hill and not right in the center of downtown, they are much lower priced.
The building is secure, and parking is right on site. The plan is for several more condo buildings to go up, but they haven’t started construction on yet.
PROS:
Excellent finish, quality and size.
Much lower entry point price wise, making these a tremendous value.
Secure building, on-site parking, and the condos feel like a home.
CONS:
Up and coming neighborhood. (I thought it was bad, through several emails with the agent representing the property I’ve been told the area has come a long way.)
Not right downtown, and it’s not really walking distance from anything but the elementary school.
Not as exciting as a high-rise condo. (personal preference I know!)
If you’re looking into Sherman Hill, or would like to move closer to downtown, The Olive Street Condos present a really good, affordable package. The neighborhood won’t be for everyone today, but if you look around I’m sure you’ll be pleased with the progress that has been made.
