The big (and manly) BBQ fest has finally come into town, and our friends at the Des Moines Register have been so kind as to write up a full run-down of the weekend for us.

WHAT: Eight barbecue artists share a parking lot with 10 music acts for three days.

WHERE: Iowa Events Center/Veterans Auditorium parking lot, 730 Third St.

WHEN: 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday

11 a.m.- 9 p.m. Sunday
