Comedian Ron “Tater Salad” White will perform a solo comedy show Jan. 19 at the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines.

For the uninitiated, White is the “scotch-drinking funnyman from the ‘Blue Collar Comedy’ phenomenon with two Grammy nominations, two one-hour specials on Comedy Central and a New York Times best-selling book.” His other Blue Comedy Collar Tour buddies are Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy.

Tickets for White’s show cost $39.75 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16 through www.ticketmaster.com.

White also is part of a new HBO comedy series, “12 Miles of Bad Road,” scheduled to premiere on the cable network in January.
