Visiting The State Historical Building
by Jo Hill

Today Emmie and I went to the Historical Building. It was her first trip there and
I’m sure we saw a few of the things that kids have been going to see there for
years. Years ago, my favorite exhibits were the animals and the Canatoga Wagon.

As we walked in we were greeted by this tiny Wooly Mammoth. Emmie loved the early
cars which she called horseless cherries. I’m sure she has the name right now. She
also loved the baby elk.

My favorite place there is the geological library. In the past, I have found much
information about my family and love to go and just do research.

After leaving we went and looked at the work being done on the Capital Grounds.
