Wednesday Video
This week features one of my teachers from elementary school. She used to sell these shirts out our school, and you better believe my brothers and I all wore these babies proud!

I will have to go and check this shop out.
It is good to know she had three Bickford Boys and
survived. I can imagine by the time Justin got to her class, she said–”oh, no, not another one!”

I’m so glad to see that they have an awesome new principal…Jack Cavanaugh. He formerly worked at the Jefferson Traditional Elementary on the SW side which is the only school in the district that can boast 100% parental attendance at conferences and much like the downtown school……you have to be on a waiting list almost the moment your child is born……he’s got a lot of work ahead of him and I hope the community will support the work he’s doing at Edmunds. We need this school. One of Sophie’s friends that attends Edmunds lives in the Court Ave./4th St. area, just stopped by our condo the other day with his dad. Soph had given directions to him on the school bus and they showed up at our door step. Interesting……and fun. The diversity in our community is phenomenal! We love it here! Sorry so long…….it must be the Saggitarius in me. lol

I guess they decided against shutting Edmunds down then? I don’t keep up much on it, but I know they were going to close the doors there.
Seems crazy to me, wouldn’t that be a place that kids living downtown and in Sherman Hill would attend?

Yes, it is the designated school for children living downtown. If that had shut down it would be the new school on Walnut East of 14th Street. Personally, I think they need to enlarge the downtown school or allow children who live downtown to have first priority. It’s ridiculous that I live across the street from this public school and my child can not attend. Crazy I tell you!!! lol

I couldn’t agree more that downtown kids should have priority to that school. That’s the one thing about that school that makes no sense…..
